Animism teaches us that the world is full of subjects, not objects. Mountains, rivers, stones, and trees are alive in their own ways; animals have their own languages, their own cultures. We design from this awareness, creating spaces where other beings are felt as presences in their own right, worthy of respect and dialogue. Through design, nonhumans can speak. It is our goal to facilitate this.
